It's the chrysler new product launch - meant for journalist types. The full lineup is there (but mostly parked underground today). They were giving out free kodiak shoes and serving up big time horse-duvers and booze tonight as well. It's going on all week with test drives, etc..

The Commander reminds me of the old cherokee. If you liked it's old brick-like shape then you'll like the Commander. In any case, it looks like it does its intended job well - hauling people. Mileage can't be all that great though.

The Grand Cherokee SRT8 (http://www.jeep.com/autoshow/img/vehicles/cherokee_srt8_main.jpg) was lurking around somewhere too...

Huh, looks alright. Not really my sort of vehicle but i'm sure there's a niche for it. Does it ride on a Durango platform?

not bad, it looks a lot like the old cherokees.. definately better than the poor sales of the liberty. Sort of resembles a landrover discovery though, they should try and engineer it so that the center of gravity is lower instead of making it so tall

nice nonetheless

I kind of like it, but it seems retarded what with the price of gas and all. Maybe if it came in a diesel it would be sweet.

I don't care for the front end at all, I think the headlights look odd... Its probably about time Chrysler released a 7- passenger other than their minivans and the Durango...

And these gas prices haven't stopped anyone I know who is looking at an SUV from buying one... hasn't stopped anyone I know from driving theirs either...
