WTB:desktop or Laptop

So my computer died on me last night....so I am in the market to pick up a new one....I am contemplating on getting a desktop or a laptop...any recomandations on which one to get
These are the specs for what I am looking for
Anything above 2.8Ghz or if AMD 3000+
512 Ram or more
64M graphic card or more
WiFi network card
USB ports
DVD+/_ dual layer burner

any recemmendations on where to get one for a reasonable price or does any one has one for sale?

Dell has some good "back to school" deals on desktops and laptops. dell.ca

If you will use it for non-business then desktop would probably match your needs better.

You can also built your own but software is more expensie this way.

thank GTi...i will be using it for non business. I will check the dell website...I am contemplating on either building or buying...I also saw a deal for 799 at Future shop includes 17 inch NEC lcd....i will go and see if it is worth it.
