The Palms is WAY off strip though, especially from the Alladin. Cab fare will rape you because traffic is so horribly bad in and around the Strip.

The buffets at any major hotel there is amazing. My buddies went to the Bellagio buffet, they said it was amazing. I went to the Rio's buffet and that was awesome too.

If you want cheap drink, the Barbury Coast (I think that's the name. It's on the same block as the Flamingo Hilton) has $2 drinks all day and night.

Apparently the Buffet that is in our Hotel (Aladdin) is rated as the best buffet in Las Vegas.

^Yeah, it's off the strip....we walked from the Harrah's (where we stayed) in about 40 mintues (probably around 30 if we didn't stop and take pictures and such)

Try Vegas.com I took a look there before we went to get some ideas for places to go :)

On this map I got it says that the Aladdin is 1.4 miles from Treasure Island, I wouldn't imagine the Palms being more than 1/4 mile further away....

Just came back from vegas 2 weeks ago, I stayed at the Aladdin as well. We went to Club 54 inside MGM, it was a pretty good club but I mean $37 for 2 doubles haha. It is expensive. The buffet at the Aladdin is absolutly amazing, Some of the best food I have ever had with everything you can imagine. Be prepared to wait in line for a long time around dinner time, in my opinion it is worth the wait. Palms is way off the strip, the club "Rain" inside is supposed to be one of the best clubs in town but it is stupidly packed, you can barely move inside. I would check it out though. The best way to get drunk cheap, is sit in front of a penny slot and play for a little bit, they give you free alcohol as long as you are playing at the casino. You can get stupidly drunk for less than $5.

The pool at the Aladdin is pretty sweet, make sure to get a seat by the pool on the right though, they have live bands at that one. It is a really fun time, plus lots of hot women in bikinishow can you go wrong?

Also make sure to check out the new WYNN hotel, absolutly fucking beautiful. Ferrari dealership in the parking lot. Plus a Golf course in the back. Amazing

haha vtec_junkie i was just in vegas for 5 days i went on aug.26...

i stayed at the MGM Grand its a pretty sweet place, but wow nothing can compare to the Wynn hotel, that thing is a masterpiece...and that Ferrari/Maserati Dealership is wicked

There's a Sushi Buffet called Todai (many locations worldwide) and WOW that was the best $26 USD spent on food....the choice and quality was just unbeatable for that price i highly recommend it...its located in the Desert Passage shopping center under teh Aladdin hotel....i tried the bellagio and MGM grand buffets and i gotta say it was good, but doesnt justify the $45 admission...

The Wynn golf course i haerd costs like $200USD to play 18 holes (i could be wrong it coudl be $300, thats for real ballers haha)

Even tho i was underaged in vegas, i still had a good time and many places worth seeing and havin a good chill time in!

The problem is the cheaper the game you're playing the less often the waitresses show up. I had some friends try that and they didn't see a waitress for like a half hour and by then they'd already blown like $7.

Actually if you're trying to scam free drinks you can always approach a waitress that is walking around then stay put where you ordered it and pretend you're playing. They couldn't care less if you're actually playing.

I was given free drinks just watching people play craps :D of course you will have to tip them if you ever want to see them again.

No one mentioned Body English, which right now is the hottest club there (Since you sound into that).

I just got back from Vegas 3 weeks ago and All I can say is ... DRINK BEFORE YOU LEAVE! lol Go buy a 60 pounder drink lots of it in the hotel then go out. Clubs to hit:

Pure (hottest club in North America in Ceasers) - 30000Sq Feet of Chicks and booze. Outside upstairs level with own DJ. Cant forget the Pussy Cat dolls.
Ghost bar (One of the Hottest in NA in Palms) - Lounge Style club very cool. On 55th floor of the Palms - GREAT Vegas view.
Studio 54 (In MGM Grand - Always Busy) - chicks and GoGo Dancers, also acrobats swinging from the roof - 3 Stories.
Seven (On the strip Between NYNY and Bellagio) - Best after hours party 5am to Noon LOL.

Strip Clubs - Cheetas - Only one Ive been too. Haggle your lap Dances they will notice you as a tourist and rape your Wallet  Avoid VIP rooms if your really broke however.

Food - Aladdin (Awesome Buffet)
Bellagio - Sunday bruch - OMG gotta go pricey though 30 American or so.
Try to Avoid eating at Hotels unless you got cash.

Thats about it I guess.. Have fun and bring your Walking shoes. You will need em. Also, Enjoy the "clicky" guys on the strip as you walk

Find a waitress and tip her 10 bucks each right away and she'll be coming around a lot.

Alladin Spice Market Buffet is really good.

As for strip clubs, Paradise club was pretty cool. Its right across the street from the Hard Rock. As we were leaving hard rock though, the valet told us we should have went to the Spearmint Rhino which supposedly is better.

Wynn has the hottest waitresses.

The food in Vegas is great. If you are looking for the best, check out Bouchon (I think it is at the Venetian) which is a great French Bistro (the chef/owner is one of the best in the world, although he is spending more time in NYC and Napa) and Nobu (at the Hard Rock, reservations absolutely mandatory at least a couple days in advance) which is in my opinion the best sushi restaurant in the world.

The best party scene is always at either the Palms or the Hard Rock but not if you are on a budget.. do yourself a favor and budget for $20 a person to pay bouncers to skip the lines cause they are ridiculous at the hot places.

I agree! I've been to Nobu in Manhattan and they were great! I have also been to the Nobu in South Beach and it was pretty good also, except the Shore Club itself wasn't that great.

Awesome guys,

keep the tips rolling.

This is the best way to skip the crap and hit the hot spots.

I'm budgeting $1000.00 for food and entertainment. Hopefully that is enough. We are there for 4 nights.

The one in Vegas is my favorite, but I've been to the Nobus in London, Vegas, Malibu & Tokyo (I'm a sushi whore)

If you're there over the weekend, I did an amazing pub crawl that took me to 2 high end clubs and one shitty one for $50 including cover charges, bus and some drinks. I can find the name of the company if you're interested. Well worth the price, it was us 9 guys, plus about 40 girls from various places all on different stagettes :bigpimp:
Man, the stories from that trip are amazing

I just came back a week ago, if you are seeing any shows, make sure you go to a discount ticket store (located in the fashion mall) all tickets are 1/2 price for almost every show in Vegas, Sucks that we found out about place the night before we were leaving. If you're going with your Girl/wife take her to the Paris Effiel Tower, 5 star dinning, must dress up and dinner will run you at least 300US. Haha, I hit up Mcdonalds right after the dinner LOL.

Las Vegas have the best buffets at the best price, and selection is crazy too. Go to the buffet in the Flamingo, it is crazy, you line up for an hour to pay, and another 1/2 for you seat. But in the end it was worth it> EXCELLENT!

Wicked places to eat in Vegas are;

- Joe's in Ceasars Forum shops(specializes in seafood (mainly crab), flown in fresh daily!) Only problem is if it's not on the plane that morning, it won't be available. The Crab legs are amazing, so is the grilled Swordfish) Very pricey though, 5 people ~700USD was our bill, good thing I got to expense that one :D

-PF Chang's in your hotel (Aladin) is one of the best chinese food restaurants I've ever eaten in! Great atmosphere and reasonably priced; approx. 60-70USD per person. Gets very busy after 8pm. Make reservations.

-Diner in the Hard Rock is great for breakfast. Normal prices 15 USD for breakfast.

-Make SURE you goto the deli in NewYork NewYork if you like deli sandwiches! Absolutely amazing corn beef on rye. HUGE and only like 7USD

-Pink Taco (Mexican food) in the Hard Rock is great, lined up like crazy on the weekends but on weekdays you can usually walk right in before 7pm. (they have a webcam on 24/7 broadcasting on the internet www.hardrockhotel.com) so if you're doing something/one you shouldn't be sit at the tables, not the bar :poosie:

-If you're on a budget, check out Del Taco a few times! Wicked quesadilla's, and cheap like Taco Bell!

There are tons of great places to get drunk there too;

-Rio's rooftop bar is amazing (opens at 10:30), up to the 52nd or 53rd floor, there's an inside lounge and doors to outside where they've got a dj spinning, a bar, dance floor. Wicked, wicked view of the strip. The bar just off the casino floor I wasn't really impressed with, but it wasn't too bad. Secret there is, just outside the bar off the casino floor there's a stand where they sell vip braclets that get you into all three bars at the Rio with no line, no cover, BUY ONE, they're only $30USD each and the cover to each bar is $20USD, plus the lineups are ridiculous unless you start lining up at 9pm, and then you can't bounce from club to club looking like a big shot skipping the lines. :bigpimp:

-The lounge in the Bellagio is killer, the balcony looks out over the water show and the cigars are amazing. Live bands and average prices for drinks.

-The center bar in the Hard Rock is a great place to pick up girls on vacation! Lots of girls ready to party! As a matter of fact, if you can, stay at the Hard Rock, I ran into Iggy there last month at 5am in the elevator completely smashed (me, not him)! John Elway too!

-make sure to check out Shadowz in Ceasars, I thought it would be kind of lame, but fuck is it awesome watching naked girls dance behind a screen. Plus the bartenders to 'Cocktail' style tricks all night!

-Most important thing about Vegas night life is to dress the part!! You will be shut down everytime if you're not dressed like you've got some money. Make sure you've got a dress shirt and nice pants. The nicest clothes you own.... Bring them! It's all a big show. If you don't own a pair of pants worth more than atleast $100, go buy some! If your best shirt came from sears... Do some shopping before you go! It may be shorts and t-shirts all day. But it's full dress up at night in Vegas if you want to get into places like Shadowz, ICE, Pure, Ghost... Pretty much anywhere worthwhile! You can NOT overdress in Vegas after the sun goes down!

---IF ANYONE GOES TO VEGAS THROUGH THE WEEKEND--

Make sure you check out 'REHAB-X Sunday's at the pool' at the HardRock Hotel. It's a HUGE pool party with all the locals. The Hard Rock opens the pool to everyone for a cover charge and has an all day party.. It's AMAZING!! If you've got the extra cash rent a cabana! They're about 250USD, but you get a waitress, fridge, table, chairs, loungers, misters, tv, safe.. and let's face it... you look like a pimp :bigpimp: And the view from up in the cabana's is unbeatable, you can see all the local girls titties bouncin around!!

Have fun.. There's tons more, but it's getting late :D

By the way, on a $1000 budget, you won't be able to golf IN Vegas, BUT if you want to, drive up to Utah (not very far) than you can golf for like 30-35 USD for wicked courses!

CRX-R
09-17-2005, 01:12 AM
And make sure you get to Cheetah's, it's killer! If you go early (before 8pm) Lap dances are 10, back room is 20 and VIP is... well whatever you make it :poosie: ! But after 8pm it's 20, 30 and ....

89coupe
09-17-2005, 09:28 AM
Great Info. Yeh, we are ditching the idea about golfing. I've also been informed you can walk around with drinks in your hand. So we may load up at the hotel and then drink as we walk there as well...LOL.

These are the top bars we plan on hitting, "hopefully" LOL.

Pure at Caesars
Rain at the Palms
The HardRock
Coyotes 2
Saphire

I've also been told that it works a little different at these clubs when it comes to alcohol. Apparently you rent a booth or table and then you have to buy bottles of whatever and they bring you mixes for it?

Sounds like I may need to up my budget...LOL
