Say I win an auction on ebay.. how much am I looking to pay for shipping???
Is there any hidden fee's??
Anyone done this before??

theres an ass load of paperwork that has to be done....i looked into it a while back and said forget it
I think if I was ever to do something like that I would fly down and drive the car back... but I think there would be still tons of paperwork to do.

Nope, was just a lot of work. But I followed every step on that checklist and the whole process went smoothly, no problems.

Private sale from California. Drove down with dad to get it and drove it back up! Car cost about 9000 USD, with taxes and all inspections, it came up to around 12000 CDN. The hardest thing about this is that you gotta e-mail and call the seller a lot to make sure he has all the papers and items required on the checklist (such as the compliance label and recall clearance letter).

If I have to spend the time and effort to import, I'll make sure I import something I can't get here for a dime a dozen.
