Who here was one, and what brand/model? Just bought one a couple days ago, a Beltronics RX65. Works really good I find, kind of annoying going by a safeway or something though haha.

So who's got one?

i personally think they are useless! i have the new 8500 pasport, and i drove all around the west coast for the last 2 weeks, and i can personally say, sure it is the best one on the market, but for your money, buy a cheap one and buy jammers.

Jammers and a 8500 Passport/V1 are the way to go.

I got a ride in a Ferrari and it had the detector/jammer setup. Almost 4Gs in equipment. Everything was hidden under the seats and wiring was under the carpet and in the roof. What a set up!

4gs in equipment?

V1 brand new after shipping and duties is 500-550$cdn.

Laser jammers arnt too expensive either, theres a couple fs on beyond.

you can keep that under 1000$, and it will be a great system



Only thing i can think of that is that expensive is the Passport sr7, http://www.passportsr1.com/sr7.htm and its still under 4000$...

Just a curious question... what happens when you drive by a Safeway? What signal does Safeway send out?

Microwaves and auto matic doors set off X and K band alot in those shopping mall areas.

Yea automatic doors are mostly X band.

As for the car, 4G is what he quoted me, installed of course. It's probably around that mark.
