bel 985 detector

anyone know if there is a firmware update for the bel 985 vector series of radar detectors? If so how much does it cost to get it upgraded?

Has anyone found this particular detector any good?

It is one of the best, if not the best detector you can get.

is there anywhere in calgary that can verify the radar's detection capabilities?

I find that with my bel that it doesn't usually pick up photo radar.

Bizzarre since my bel 870 doesn't do so well either.

Of all my detectors my bel 830 did very well...
