This is a heads up to everyone looking for a BOV.

I purchased a Megan Racing BOV from Autodream in April. Right from day one the BOV caused a vacuum leak at idle.

The BOV is hardly used and I'm replacing it with an HKS SSQV simply because it's a POS.

So heads up, don't buy a Megan Racing BOV. They're inexpensive, but in the long run they're not worth the trouble.

I am not trying to undermine you A790. But could part of the issue be also because Nissan's HAVE to run re-circulated CBV"s??...and NOT BOV's??

I mean I KNOW there are tons of SR, and CA boy's and girl's who are venting...BUT...don't the carts run, drive, idle, and coast better with an re-circulated valve??

My strut tower bar works great :D

Like EK 2.0 said, most bov's will leak, some people even have trouble with the ssqv. Mine idles fine though

Well I ran with the stock re-circ valve on the car and now I do VTA. When Idle, the BOV should remain close so it doesn't really matter at IDLE. At full boost I do find that with VTA that the turbo spools quicker = better acceleration.

It only effects our cars when we acclerate hard then brake hard right away. That will cause the SR to stall.

But I'm no expert....just what I've experienced.

Nah, I mean, you can feel the air coming from the BOV horn at idle... and it's bad.

Huge vacuum leak.

OH, and the idle reading was about 16 or 17.

Maybe the BOV is shimmed wrong. Does it even blow off when you shift gears in boost? How much noise does it blow off?

It blows off fine when I shift, and it's not "too" loud or crazy.

I've checked some other forums and apparrantly it's not a common thing. Either way it's getting replaced.

Their seats are pretty damn comfortable too and they hold you well.

Dude, there's nothing wrong with it.You need to adjust it so it doesn't leak at idle.
