Hi guys,

I am selling my 5.0 mustang this week. 5 years of driving in Calgary winters with 300 lbs/ft torque at the rear wheels is enough for me.

I am thinking of getting a honda civic in the $12,000-$16,000 price range.

I think I want an SI model, but what the heck is the difference between the civic CX, DX, EX models??? Is is just creature comfort options, or is there a difference in the motors also??

Did they make SI hatchbacks in the 1996,1997,1998 years??

How much to they sell for approximatly?
Can I buy an integra GS-R in this price range also??

Is there a civic website that you can refer me to so I can learn something about these cars?? I just want to buy a stock car and keep it that way, no fancy modifications.

Thanks for you help guys

Go to:
http://carpoint.msn.com/homepage/default.asp

And check out the used car listings for vehicle stats.

Diff between CX, DX, and EX, engine-wise is nothing. Trim, options, etc are what the diff is. Si is where the fun begins, more power and Vtec.

No, there were no Si hb for 96-98. Si were coupes only. Si hb were around for 92-95.

And no, GS-R wouldn't fall in that range, otherwise we'd all be driving them :burnout:

Correct me if I'm wrong

EDIT: Shit, beat me to it.:burnout: You should be able to find a GSR in the 14-16 range.

this is no Teg or Civic, but you should check out Trendkill's Lude in the classified's section. I think its selling for around $15k.
