I'm thinking about getting myself one around christmas, but I want the newest one possible, so I'm wondering what was the last year they were produced. I think i remember someone i know saying they weren't being produced anymore... I don't know much about the car really...

you might want to learn a little about the car before you decide you want to buy one

obviously, didn't i say I was thinking about getting one around christmas? isnt that why i've started asking questions with probably the most basic one there was. now at least i can go look up specs on 98 talons and reviews etc..

true, how about price wise?

edit: They are both fine looking cars, i'm leaning towards the talon just cause im thinking they must be cheaper.

And easier to find.

If you want an Eclipse, best bet is to import from Ontario or the US.

word of advice....research crankwalk....'95-'98 talons (and eclipses) quite often have a problem w/ crankwalk (4G63 engine)

When you have more questions, just let us know. :)

And IMHO, the whole crankwalk thing gets blown out of proportion...

FoxLX: What kind of seats do you have on your 5.0?

it's not a 5.0L but your not the first to make the mistake, and they're just seatcovers to protect what's left of already faded red :)

Thanks I definitely will. It's something I'm seriously considering right now since im making decent cash working construction. I was gonna go the whole 5.0L mustang route since i love my car so much, but im starting to think it'd be a better investment to get a newer car and after seeing TurboDSM's talon a little while back, it has left me with new ideas for a future car

Sorry, I didn't read your sig. Nice car, nonetheless. :)

i just fixed my sig, it doesnt actually have rims, but that was a photoshop of what I how I wanted it to end up looking. and i'm pretty close.... the one i have on now is closer to what it looks like minus the white walls hah.... -sigh- it's cheap and fun to drive though. Original paint, no rust... 210000kms on it... thanks!

You’re very welcome. You're much too self-deprecating. :)

I just got mine barely a day ago. It isn't exactly the 2.5 L, 300HP monster I've been hoping for, but it's definitely a start. I plan on painting it black and adding any racing seats that'll fit it. Then on to some serious modding.
