Hi i was given this problem and i was wondering if someone could give me a hand. ok the problem is:

I have 3 subs, at 3 Ohms each, how would i arrange the circuit to get 1.5 ohms total in the circuit, it escapes me on how to accomplish that the subs are also independant of an amplifier so dont have to worry about that variable and i assume from what my boss said is that they are single voice coil. but i dunno, any help would be great.

thanx.

Can't be done.

Two subs with three ohm coils could be wired to 1.5, but not three. You could either get nine ohms or just under 1

JL Audio W6v2s or W7s? With a JL amp, I am guessing? It will not work.

I think you would be stuck with either 1ohm or 9 ohms... get an amp that is 1 ohm stable and wire whe speakers in paralell.

If you series two of them, and put the other one in parrallel with the other two it will give you 2 ohms. The closest to what you are looking for. Why are you looking for 1.5 ohms tho.
