I'm still freaking shivering...damn that wind......lol.
Imagine how cold it would have been without the tarp. It was just like camping...

the results were good though. Looks :bigpimp:

Nice work guys:thumbsup: So which paint did you guys go with? I don't think that many ppl go with the actual caliper paint, including me! Looks like it dried nicely too, even with the cold in your garage:thumbsup:

it was a coat of
1.brake cleaner and dremel
2.metal look paint 3 coats
3.blue anodized look paint 3 coats
4.my handy dandy silver paint on the screws and bolts.

ya it turned out really well, we were both quite impressed with our skill, considering we both had frozen hands

Nah, we didn't go with the "actual caliper paint". I had a G2 brake caliper painting kit sitting in my trunk also, but the instructions were too long, and there was too much mixing and stuff...?? Plus I like this colour better...Looks good, we'll see how it lasts. If it burns of, THEN I'll paint them with the G2 kit. The paint we used did say "ideal for calipers" right on the can though....???

If you buy the "ford engine enamel" it seems to work well for calipers also.

DSM POWER: You got it, when it get warmer, we'll paint your calipers in the DSM Power garage.....and I'll bring that sheet of mesh, for our grills also.

And that FMIC is :bigpimp:

We used the metalcast paint. Here's a link: http://www.levineautoparts.com/dupmet.html

You can get it at cdn tire. Base coat, and the anodized look coat. Costs around $5.99/can or something?

We used brake cleaner, and a wire brush attachment on a drill/dremel to prep the surface.

Then mask of the areas...and you're good to go.

That stuff is awsome. I went through 2 or 3 cans of it this summer painting anything in my engine bay that I could. And I'm still not done yet.:D
