maybe you have that problem because you used speaker wire for the whole install:rofl:

It's because you used speaker wire for every connection:
Speaker wire for the power
Speaker Wire for the ground
Speaker Wire for the High Level Output
Speaker wire for the remote wire

Does it still happen when your key is only turned to accessories and the motors off?

What's wrong with that? Wire is wire is wire. Unless you mean gauge size :dunno:

Why the fuck would you use speaker wire for power and ground????? Power wire isn't that expensive!

wow this install sounds pretty shitty
haha yeah it does sound like ghetto installs inc(tm)
but it's probably a ground loop and you're hearing engine feedback
time to laugh when that speaker wire(16 gauge probably... haha) catches fire and burns the car down.
edit: uhm, if your deck is off, your amp should be off(unless you ghetto rigged a jumper wire for +12v remote...) and you shouldn't hear anything on your sub.
i'd recheck everything, and just MAYBE, just MAYBE install it properly.
