hey guys i have a 1988 honda civic hatch for sale or for trade. check it out.

mods
88 Honda Civic hatchback (Viper GTS Metalic Blue)
JDM B16A with 8200 rpm G1 computer
Turbo (CT26 Supra turbo)
Custom front mount intercooler
Custom 2" radiator
Centerforce dual friction clutch
Skunk coilovers
Koni adjustable shocks
MSD iginition
HKS Blow off valve
Vibrant stainless steel exhaust (2-1/4" from engine to tail pipe)
Skunk front and rear upper strut brace
WeponR Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Gauges: Boost, Air fuel, Electronic oil pressure gauge
Sony MP3 Stero (CDX-R3300)
ractive white knob with blue led
Short shift
Front facia (see picture) for hiding intercooler
Stock 14" rims with 90-100% rubber
painted interior door panels and center console
black seatcovers (front and back)


there are some other stuff that i am missing but.....

engine's got about 100k on it.... the odometer reads 212k

very beautiull and fast car.. it makes people turn their heads.



looking for a newer civic(94 and +) or a teg (94and +), delsol, prelude etc.....
or a nice looking car....2 door. standard decent body shape good strong running engine with no problems.
maybe a few mods ...
so if you have anything let me know.

if i were to sell it i would probably let it go for around
4600$-5000$. obo

I think it was for sale a while back I remember calling the guy I think it has a bigger turbo T26 or something must hit boost around 4000rpm...probably pretty fast though.

as for the turbo set up... not quite sure on the digits and letters. but its a toyota supra turbo somewhere around the 1990's.

and yeah i bought it a little while back but ive put in about 1000 dollars in a bunch of stuff.

I test drive this car before and it's really really fast even in low boost.

Yeah it's a CT-26 turbo.

So it kicks in at 7000rpm? Isn't that just before redline? You're boosting for less than 1000rpm? :confused:

i fixed and repainted the damaged bumper.
fixed the radiator.
changed front tire
painted the inside pasenger and driver side door blue (like the outside of car) on black
fitted the front seats and rear seats with seat covers
new shift knob
new floor mats
painted center console
painted other small things on dash
bought a club ( but i can use that on any car. bought i bought is specifically for the civic)
vacumed and cleaned
changed a burnt out bulb in the rear
topped up all fluids


might be some stuff that i am missing but that is the jist of it

actually i max redline at about 8200 or 8300. so i get enough boost.

id adjust it but i dont have the time and patience to do it. so i just left it at that...

but you would be surprised on what this car can do.

Bump for a clean looking civic.

The C26 Turbo came off some earlier 90 Supras and were also on the 2nd Generation Toyota Celica and MR2 3SGTE motors.

These turbo's can run easy 7-8 psi for daily driving but arent suggested to go over 12.

A very nice turbo for a great project car. This turbo alone is worth over $2500 from a dealership, but I guess thats a dealership :bigpimp:

what are you using for fuel management of the turbo, how much psi, and when does it fully spool to that psi? :)

im using premium gas and once in a while a throw in a bottle of something( sorry cant remember the name right now...written too many exams at school). its running at 2psi but it still kicks in really hard.
it kicks in at 7000rpm and has the 8200 rpm g1 computer so you get a pretty good boost.
you would easily beat an talon turbo, rsx,
ive even beaten an rsx type s
the previous owner has one against a s200 and lots of other cars. ive been takin it easy cause gas prices are :eek:

are you sure that's not VTEC at 7000 rpm? I don't mean to sound like I'm crapping on your thread, but I don't understand the point of running 2psi on a turbo. Wouldn't you be getting tonnes more power with a smaller turbo at 7 psi? It'd probably spool at 3000rpm or earlier, too :)

This sounds fairly silly. The turbo will make full boost at 3000 rpm, around 6200 you have VTEC kick in, and on a B16 that vtec engagement point is LOUD as hell. That is what you're "feeling".. not the turbo.

i admit to not knowing somethings but that does not mean i dont know anything.. i know the proficient amount of detail about my car that i need to know.

i dont have the time do all that research cause im still in school.

im just the normal guy who loves cars and everything about them but im not the most educated about exact functionment about some specific engines and all their little detail.. that would be more of a proffesion than just " the sake of knowing it just for the sake of knowing it"

plus i got a really smart cousin who knows all his shit about cars so hes always there to help me out.

So who did the turbo install for you?

It seems odd that you only boost 2psi at 7000 RPM. Something is messed up if that's the case.

yoko did the install of the b16a and the turbo.

and its only set at 2psi cause it would require some tuning before i could increase pressure and i dont have the skills or time to do that yet.
plus someone stated before that i am probably feeling the vtec kick in at the 6000 rpm mark and the turbo at around 3000.

its going into the shop hopefully this weekend cause im getting a new front bumper put on and possibly side skirts if i can get them. but after that ill probably be free. so we will keep in touch. just send me a pm with your number so when i get it we can talk.

it would be quite difficult to turn boost down below the factory wastegate setting so i'm guessing someone has mislead you or your boost gauge is broken. a B16 with ur slightly tuned ECU should be able to handle the 7psi that the CT26 is most likely putting out. if not, then a vortech FMU, an V-AFC or something along those lines would probably allow you to run the full 12psi that the turbo is capable of.
