How to post a poll

Is there anything special I need to do to post a poll? Never done it before.

When you click on "New Thread" at the very bottom just above 'submit', there is a check box. Check that, it will go to the "create a poll" page after you hit submit. THen you can make the poll, click submit again, and it'll be good to go.
