Never been much of a Slipknot fan myself, I find they try too hard to have a hard sound.
Nonetheless, I can see why many like them.

Static X or some good 'ol Ministry is always a good replacement.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about hard sound.
I saw them during Ozz Fest, thought they were *blah*

Although, the only thing I know of them is whats on the radio.

Anyone heard of MSI (Mindless Self Indulgence) ?

There's something like 30 tracks on their one album.
If you're open to a new sound or something way out there and different, try 'em.

Just helping to broaden the music taste.

For the guy who's into TOOL, try "I Parasite"
