photo radar locations in calgary

Can anyone please tell me where there is usually photo radar in Calgary? I want to verify that my radar detector is catching the Ka band and wanna drive (with other cars in front of me of course) and see what the actual range of detection is.

My detector is a bel vector 985
I have taken the drive on 16th ave west from deerfoot and know that the laser detection works and that the K band on the highway works but I have never encountered Ka yet.

the 16th ave one is the most common laser one I know of. As for photo radar, I think you just have to be lucky to find 'em. Last one I saw was on Sarcee northbound, the one before that was 16th ave eastbound

His a sneaky mother fucker, Almost got me the first time.... Just before the bridge, keep an eye out... Silver Minivan, seen him 4 or 5 times now...

strange enough I had time to cruise around the city and I found absolutely no photo radar in the above listed locations but instead found photo radar in the places that I thought would not have it. Ogden road just past Calgary Metal recyclers. In any case I got ample warning from my dectector after all.

Isn't it too late by the time your detector picks up photoradar? It would pick it up after you pass the multanova vehicle right?

Depending on who does it, if its a phtoo radar camera in a minivan, its not a cop, just smeone there takin pictures readin a magazine.

If they are standing on the street or radioing ahead, then its a cop.

that point I got a shot was before "50km/h" signs and after "construction" sign. between them.

anyway.. if they are not cops, are they using speed guns?

to confirm which car is going how fast?

If its not cops, everything is automated then mailed out to you, if its cops, you'll know cause ull be pulled over or running a cop over.

the guy on glenmore is a sneaky bastard he is setup in such an obvious spot but you usually see that 50 sign till a lil further down most likely after that beautiful flash

I think I got nailed on barolw just before you get to the airport. It's where barlow goes from 90 to 70.
It was a red minivan.
How long does it take usually for them to mail the ticket to you if you get caught?

A bit farther down about 5-10 blocks, turn right onto memorial and ull see another one there too

Talking bout the one right after the Valley Ridge turn off? He/She's there a couple times a week.
