Anyone know an easier way to detect (pinpoint)a boost leak / vacuum then just randomly changing lines and couplers?

Any ideas would be great, I've been having a hell of a time looking for this boost / vacuum leak!! > <

Start car. Spray brake cleaner on the lines that you think might be leaking. If they are the idle will change.

I heard brake cleaner and ether is good substance to check leaks. So either or? :)

Ek9Max, was wondering if there was any tricks when spraying this stuff on... the can says flameable, anything to worry about? :)

The easy one is the brake cleaner or ether . It is pretty tame but may not find all leaks.

If you do a search on mr2oc for "noshoes boost leak tester"
you will find a thread on how to make a cap you shove in your intake and hook up to a compressor. I made one and it cost me about $10 with parts from Home Depot.

the best is to use carb cleaner and spray. water will not work on a vacuum leak but carb cleaner or break cleaner will. go apeshit in the area you suspect is leaking and you should find it.

I couldn't find the vacuum leak, so Im going to try to make the "the boost leak tester" once I recieve these 2 couplers i ordered from autodream. :)

Check the hoses going to the power steering pump. They are notorious for falling off.
