Where to play basketball?

Hey ive been in Calgary for just a little while now ... can anyone tell me where alot of people play ball ... the only place i really know about is the Talisman Centre ... is there a drop in place at U of C? ... thx

how about Cardel Place down near silvercity. Not always good since its always loaded but a good alternative.

There aren't many good places to play ball. Your best bet is probably Talisman on a saturday or sunday.

Talisman on sunday night usually has alot of good 'street ballers' there. It's hit and miss on Saturdays and every other day of the week for that matter. If your looking for lots of kids in XXXL baby blue gear rocking all sorts of wristband/headbands to play against, then go there pretty much any time when schools not in and you will find dozens of them.

You're best bet for a decent quality game would be Saturday afternoons and Sunday evenings at Talisman Centre. I think by far that is the best basketball in the city. Other than that, the university gyms on Friday afternoon can often be pretty good too.

If you're looking to play on a weeknight, it'd be really tough to find a good pick up game. Most of the good players are playing adult league games that basically go Monday to Thursday
