The memory size (ie 64MB, 128MB, 256MB) of the chips is rather valuable information, it would help your sale a lot if you posted them. :)

Your motherboard will support SD ram, DDR ram, or RD ram. If you can find out what model of motherboard you have, post it and we can find out what kind of RAM it takes.

if u open your comp and take out the ram does it have like 3 slot things or 2?

Better yet - go to www.dell.com and go to support, you can enter the dell code (sticker on the back of your computer tower) and it'll list the specs out for you right there.
