Return it to stock?

You could make quite a bit selling off the parts, you would have to find the perfect buyer that wants a purpose built 400hp integra.

legendboy
09-26-2005, 01:40 PM
yes, i will part it if i had to but i have a feeling someone will buy it for the right price.

I would definatly prefer to keep the car as is. I feel I did a good job and its the nicest teg in the city haha. It would hurt too much turning it back to stock

I would return it to stock .. $17,000 would be a good price , maybe cheaper.

I think you could get your 15k asking price if you found the right buyer. The problem is that most people looking for a 1994 Integra are young and dont have a lot of money. You'd have to find someone able to pay 15k for your car and be comfortable with the mods.

Parting it out is not going to make you as much. Once you sell off the turbo setup, wheels, and misc parts, you have a clean 1994 Integra, which will probably get you about 7k.

Good luck with the sale. Wish you'd keep it though, you've had it for a long time and its a special car...

how much would you want for your wheels?? :D

09-26-2005, 03:11 PM
I would say somewhere around $15,000.

Darkane
09-26-2005, 03:28 PM
yeah I would say 15 sounds about right. 13-15 for ME personally. Right buyer maybe even 16-17. good luck and whats the next project? :)

freakin
09-26-2005, 03:40 PM
$15,000 is realistic if you want to sell it now...but if you want to wait it out, I'm sure you could get more than that. The problem is that unless people know know you and know that the build was done right....it won't be worth the money to them.

So what are you moving on to now? A big NA build?

(speaking of which, I forgot to get a hold of you this weekend to see when we'd have time to finish mine.)

You finally get the car going fast and you are letting it go before you even get a chance to enjoy it?:dunno:

Being in a similar situation I would calculate a fair price that will recover some of the time and money put in while being realistic also. Alot of people don't realize that just because you have $15K in mods doesn't mean your car is worth $15K on top of the car's value. Patience pays off. With a highly modded car you are really just waiting for a person who is specifically interested in that car modded. It only took me 5 weeks to sell the Eclipse but the guy that bought it was the only person seriously interested as I got at least three trade requests but that's about it.

It depends on how fast you want/need the money. Just don't panic and drop your shorts just because there isn't alot of interest right away as sooner or later the right person will come around.

BTW: You may want to spend $125 and get it appraised as when banks give kids loans for cars and the asking price exceeds the book value the bank will want an appraisal. If you have it in hand it can speed up the buying process plus it looks good especially if you are selling lower than the appraised price.

Oh yeah. If your next car is going to be a 240 or Skyline may you spend the rest of your life as Rita McNeil's bicycle seat.

Since everyone assumes you are selling it to a kid, you do know the kid will kill himself the first time he shows off by lighting it up in 4th in front of his highschool after bombing through a playground zone at 140.

...I'll give you a 1995 Eagle Talon ESi turbo with 82k + $5k for it :D

Awwh man sad to see this beast go. I for sure thought I would sell my car easily for my asking price too. Just for your reference I've had a few 16K offers on mine...you know both cars!

I would start out at 17K and be patient! Don't just let it go because you're bored. I think 16-17K is very fair asking price! Patience, who knows maybe you sell it in a week at that price...

man if my room mate could get $9,500 for his 1990 civic (ef9 front end, b16a swap, full kit, and so on) you can easily get $15,000 for your car. Just wait for the right buyer, like you said.

Fuck 15k Corey ask 20. That speedtech 240 guy is asking like 20 for his car its like way older and less built. Of course mods don't add money but your car was done right, not a cheap piece.

It looks like a nice car but the guy's asking far too much money considering its age and the amount of km's on the body. But he may get his money though as some young rich kid who wants a piece of the 240 fad may ante up for it considering the premiums that some of the junky 240's (most of them are junk) are going for. It's all about patience.;)

as far as i can say it is very reliable. of course i don't drive around on high boost everyday. i normally save that for the track and scaring passengers lol

the car would be ok in the winter (i haven't winter driven it since it was painted) because the turbo is fairly laggy. you don't have to boost if you don't want to type of thing.

He swapped an sr20, the engine internals are stock = not built. Corey's car = built. I bet his bottom end is almost bulletproof.

its definately the type of car youd have to find the right buyer for....and they would have to know about it.....that being said you get what you want for it in that scenario....if you have time just market it for a while around 17K.....if not part out...

if I had the sort of cash I wish I had, I'd expect you to ask 21ish for it and I'd talk you down to 18.5 and feel that I got a deal.

just my buck o five.

car is most deffinatley worth more than 15, the problem is finding someone with the money that is interested.......be patient and i'm sure it will sell for more than 15, if you want a quick no hassle sale then just start at 15.

Hey Cory......if you wanna get rid of it fast and for alot of money i would honestly try Sask. or fort mcmurray. For some reason sask. guys eat up done up cars. and especially in fort mcmurray cause they got lot's of oil rig guys and miners with lot's of money. and you should be able to get 20k no problem.

Car looks good!

That's a heck of a good idea. Fort McMurray would be ideal. Lots of guys with money, who probably don't have the time/desire to do up their own car, so they buy a pre-modded one.

Very good point. Even hick towns eat this shit up. Try advertising in lethbridge, med hat, sask and up north. You'll be amazed to find that so many people are into the most riced up cars because the fads haven't taken effect there much. Places like those do not have any real performance shops and don't have the best access to this kind of thing.
