What would be required in Polishing an Intake manifold?

How exactly do companies do it and how long does it take?

I would like to do mine as shown below.

wet sand and buff it off im thinking, unless its in rough shape

Get a grinding wheel for your drill, dremel, and lots of sand paper. Then you get to work with the polishing compound.

just get it ceramic coated.

You polish it yourself.....but a few hours into it you'll be close to killing yourself. Trust me here. I polished a full set of wheels, and a valve cover...

what does ceramic coating or polishing do anyways??
