My gf needs a deck and I was thinking about potentially giving her my 9833 and getting the 9851? The problem is I can't figure out if its actually a big step up or not? I have a changer too but it will be compatible with both.. both are mp3 decks etc.. I could really use some help with this.. i don't want to take a step back on this.. thanks!

Dude, keep your 9833.

That 9851 is NOT better than the one you have now.

I have the 9835 and it's superb!

Giving your GF the 9833 and taking the 51 WOULD be taking a step back.

Yeah I realized that shortly after I posted heh.. at first I couldn't find the official alpine link for the 9831, but when I did find it it was clear what I have is better than the 9851. Thanks for the help guys!
