I did some research to compare prices, and as I haven't found out anything about what the STi would cost in Canada (haha, not relevant to me I guess) I made a calculation based on the difference in price between the Australian and Canadian WRX.

WRX Price in Canadian dollars:

$51,800 Sweden
$38,242 Australia
$34,995 Canada

STi Price in Canadian dollars:

$68,000 Sweden (265hp, 2.0l, no DCCD)
$50,900 Australia (300hp, 2.5l)
$46,600 Canada (300hp, 2.5l)

We don't use dollars. But all the prices are written in Canadian dollars.

I think it's about 8:- (swedish currency - Swedish "Crowns", translated) to the US dollar.

major diffs :
DCCD (adjustable center diff)
6spd (versus 5spd)
suspension
brembo brakes
like you said, interior and motor (lots on motor. forged internals, sodium valves, bigger ic, bigger turbo).

Theres about a 1000 other minor diffs too

So true. Even car right over the border. You look at US price guides for new cars and they don't convert to the same $. We pay a few grand less than them. Thats
why Ford or someone was bitching last year that too many of their trucks were being bought up by Yanks coming up here.
