Ok, may be a bit of a strange question.

What type/brand of sliced bread to you buy? The health folks might go with flax, whole wheat, multigrain etc but I read that if it's enriched, it's not as good? I have tried Dempsters, Olafsson, Nature's Blend, and so on. Taste they vary a bit but do you feel it's worthwhile to spend $3.50 instead of $1 for a loaf of bread?
For yogurt or eggs I do go with the good stuff. Organic, free range, parabiotic etc.

.89c per loaf.

I splurge sometimes on a loaf of ciabatta with asiago cheese.

Haha, we make it at my factory and I would never buy it in stores. While I'm working I like the Texas Toast 60%, but yeah if I'm going to buy bread I'd buy a higher quality loaf.

I get that bread from the chinese/taiwanese bakeries. The ones that are like 2 inches thick, usually served at bubble tea shops. Makes the best toast.

I like white or sourdough. I guess its around $2/ loaf. I can't stand eating bread with the grains in it... it really creeps me out for some reason.

note to self: don't eat wonderbread ever again :barf:

we buy the multigrain bread from Co-Op. It's 1.99 a loaf and it's got flax, sunflower seeds, cornmeal...etc etc....It's better than white and better than whole wheat. The smell of whole wheat bread makes me sick.

Can someone recommend a bakery to get this at?

I eat just good ol' superstore whitebread...although I eat home-made rye bread...sooo good. Real, no breadmaker, insanely ancient recipe type deal.

I personally like Rye bread. Used to always eat white bread but not a big fan anymore. Rye is where it's at!

Rye's good, but not storebought rye...can't eat that anymore. This homemade stuff is sooo good.

Chinatown! There's one in the basement on the corner, directly across from the Harbour City Restaurant. It's called "Jing Jing" or something... lol

Next to Silver Dragon.
