Yes, i bought it from him with the intention of fixing it up... put about $200 worth of parts and several hours work in to it and then i found a better deal so i need to sell it as i dont have a place to store it. ( i was unaware of the problems with it until i showed up at his place... but i needed a car and i thought i could fix it, but i just dont have the time/facilities or ability.)

headgasket (i think... i rented a coolant system pressure tester which i intend to use tonight to test if it is the head gasket.) and for the brakes i think it needs a master cylinder and/or brake booster.

Its a sound car, if someone would fix the minor problems.
I drove it everyday last winter, and never had a problem.

Okay, so i left the car for a couple days and fired it up and it did not smoke AT ALL, until i hit the brakes, so whatever the issue with the brakes is, is causing the white smoke, so i really dont think the head gasket is bad, just the brakes.

thats brake fluid geting on to your exhaust. is it overheating?check your oil dipstick & cap for ant creamy white stuff

Yeah i figured it was the master cylinder dumping brake fluid in to the booster and then dumping it through the engine...the oil is not foamy, it looks fine.

1 more thing do a compresion test. or take the rad cap off then start your car do this when the engine is cold if the antifreeze starts shooting out off the rad within 2 min then you got a hairline crack in the head gasket

no coolant was "shooting" out of the rad, it was slowly leaking over the top (i filled it to the top before i started.)

Also the white smoke kind of came back... just not as bad as before. i am very confused.
