Help Me My Deck Turns On But No Sound

hey.
i just got my dvd player installed today.
everything works like you can watch the dvd's the deck powers on but no sound comes out of the speakers, tweeters, and my sub doesn't work either.
my amp used to turn on too but my amp doesn't power on either for the sub.
i checked my amp fuse and the radio fuse but they are perfect.
anyone know how to fix this problem with my dvd player.

Sounds like a problem with the remote turn on wire....... check it for 12V.:thumbsup:

that would probably fix the sub amp but would that screw up my dvd player too like for no sound at all.

check all the speaker wires check for ground on any of the positive lines .. you might of shorted the deck, and it's in protection.

the deck would still turn on, but so sound..

I have to agree, i am having the same problem and I noticed its one of the speakers shorting and causing the deck to go into protection mode.

hmmmm.
i'll check the tweeters out then but the speakers are not shorting it might be the tweeters tho.
but would what really screw up my amp light from turning on too.
please let me know more.
