not sure if it is still there but there was a guy in the bargain finder last week who had a 4age and wiring harness ect... everything needed to do a conversion for only $450.

To do a full 4age swap, you need a Full Donor car. Not just an engine, and wiring harness and stuff... :( i wish it was that easy. But thats besides the point.

oh... ic ic aww why is it auto... what a bummer....
how much would it be to do manual conversion?
because seeing that car very very intresting mauahhaha

Thaco
10-04-2005, 06:50 PM
if someone intends to do a gts conversion the manual conversion would not be a whole lot of work as it is already a floor shifter and stuff.

Raz
10-04-2005, 06:56 PM
Well, it'd need a bunch of work to make it a real AE86 drift car, but it actually looks like its got a decent body on it!

Engine, wiring harness, gauge cluster, transmission, rear end suspension and all the bells. would be needed, but still, if you have a super ugly and rusted ae86 this might not be a bad buy

Thaco
10-04-2005, 07:00 PM
yeah, the body is very very very nice for the age, there are only a few small speckles of surface rust, none of the spots are even close to going though, very light speckles.. a few on the hood and a bit on the edge of the sun roof.

10-04-2005, 07:13 PM
yah seems good thinking about every trading...???
i got a 1990 sentra with not to much rust and the price is about the same?? so how about it?

and who said anything about drifting i just like the car in general ahaha it's crazy

Thaco
10-04-2005, 07:27 PM
no thanks, i dont have space for the cars i have, hence why i am selling.

1Xuan1
10-04-2005, 09:39 PM
how about 1000 - 1200 for the car?
because of those problems like battery can't open the hatch, the key's don't work and maybe other stuff to the car..
also maybe the reduction for the inspection on the car

Thaco
10-04-2005, 10:16 PM
no. i have had tons of interest in it, i am confident it will sell at the price i am requesting.

and you can get a battery for $10 at pick your part, the hatch not opening is probably a VERY simple fix. and the inspection is not my responsability.

a body in this condition for this year is almost worth $1500 by itself. not to mention is only has 175,000 km on it. that is like 8,000 km per year, that is crazy low milage.

1Xuan1
10-04-2005, 10:25 PM
so bascialy you are saying there is no way of lowerin the price? at all. it's 1500 obo?

Thaco
10-04-2005, 10:27 PM
there is a possability, but i am not lowering it by 1/3rd of the price.

1Xuan1
10-04-2005, 10:38 PM
oh but i did take in the the facter that it's auto
auto usally cost more then standard but this is the corrolla world so manual would cost more then and old corrolla

but of course not lower 1/3... of what you just said
but maybe shave up a bill or two.? or so?

Thaco
10-04-2005, 10:51 PM
a manual of this car in this condition would go for more than $1500... if you dont agree with my price there are lots of other cars.

Like i said, there is a lot of interest, if you dont buy it, someone else will get a good deal.

1Xuan1
10-04-2005, 10:55 PM
sure it would cost more in a kind of sence but i am only considering other things that are known around
but the fact is that it's auto corolla which lose most corrolla's fan's i deals so they are looking for a lower price so they could make it standard so shave off a bill or we can work something out... just to lower the price just a bit...

oh ps.. is there any contact info?? talking like this kinda hard.. and what not.

Thaco
10-05-2005, 09:52 AM

salvage title means??????its basically a write off ....very intense inspection if im correct cars just about gotta be brand new to pass but correct me if im wrong

Thaco
10-08-2005, 08:57 AM
yes, that is correct, hence why it is for parts, anybody that needs a body on thier ride would be able to use this.

Thaco

might have something to do with the fact that the coin tray near the hand brake is a mini swimming pool. Am I the only one who noticed that?

dansmith11
10-10-2005, 12:37 PM
ill give you 400.

you can call that lowball if you want. but sorry, an sr5 parts car isnt worth much.

the car is a unibody, so no i cant just take the body off it and drop it onto another frame.

it will cost tons of money to make it pass an OOP, so if i give you 800 and end up spending another grand to make it pass, im getting hosed for an sr5

GTS parts cars sell for less then 800, so theres no way your gonna get 800 for an sr5 parts car unless u can find an initial d fan boy who doesnt know anything about cars and trick him into buying it.

anything is insurable as long as it passes an inspection and all the safety guide lines, and isn't a japanese car younger than 15 years old lol

10-28-2005, 08:59 PM
that's dumb i never herd of that befor!! like you can't get it re inspected or anything it's just done?

finboy
10-28-2005, 09:03 PM
you have to repair it enough to get it to pass an inspection, then it can be registered under "repaired" title, which kills any resale value.
