Yea, TSN HD has better cameras than CBC, so the game looks really nice. I *think* CBC HD uses 720p cameras, where as everyone else uses 1080p camera. I noticed they took advantage of the above net camera angle a lot, but unfortunately it's a widescreen SD camera they used. Also notice they didn't properly white balance the cameras prior to the game, the color was a bit off, way too much blue.

If you have a chance, watch a US OLN or HDNet broadcast. Bell Center Ice carries those HD broadcasts sometimes. They'll color correct in the middle of the game to ensure proper color balance, all their cams are HD including the one inside the net as well as the penalty box cams. They also use the above net camera and in HD. Unfortunately, the commentating is horrible compared to Canadian broadcasts.

I love that above net camera. You really get to see all the action in the offensive zone.

i agree with TSN being better than sportsnet also, sportsnet is terrible for colour commentary and analysis. pierre is a decent analyst, however he doesnt beat ludzig from the score though, he's the best analyst on TV.

wicked game for the flames, we will easily beat the Hawks to push it to at least 9. 4-1 i say.

McCarty has NEVER stopped, he just doesnt sign.

And ya, i got Phaneuffs a couple weekends ago and he was a complete ass, wouldnt sign my photo cause he said he already had. Which he hadnt, and then he proceded to drop the sharpie on it ruining it lol. :dunno: whatever, i still got a sweet sig on another photo.

And if you want them just wait outside after games by where they exit their parking lot..... that chain link fenced in area, sorta north/east side of the building.... sorta by that ticketmaster booth. And you just wait around for an hour or so and bam! some sign, most fly by in their giant suv's :dunno:

Wow, what a game!!! I had two detroit fans sitting behind me pissed off like no one bidness :thumbsup: I even had them yell at me, telling me to stop yelling ahhaahahah. McCarty was an a beast, he was out to prove a point last night, good hustle and very agressive.

The three star selection was the best, Kobasew, Amonte and McCarty all gave their sticks away. Amonte pointed out to the fans and threw it in to the stands :thumbsup: McCarty did the same but, gave Harvey the hound a high five and a hug. I don't know about you guy's but, that STRIGHT PIMP IMO. I know some players have an issue with signing autographs but, it might be a superstition(sp) type deal.

The the last minute and a half in the third was awesome every man, woman and child was on their feet cheering their ass's off. I hurt so much from the constant yelling and cheering I turned red :D . The flames SHOULD beat the Blackhawks and I look forward to the next game, I won't say (#) stright wins because I don't want to jinx our team (i'm a tender :nut: ) but, I can just imagine the chemistry in that locker room right now.

I like that fact. We're playing the majority of our tight schedule at the beginning of the year when the guys are fresh. All the teams that have played less games then us are going to have to make them up at some point later in the season when they are tired, beat up, and stricken with injuries. The Flames schedule will be considerably lighter then most teams out there and we'll have the advantage of being more rested coming into the playoffs!

I was disappointed in the way the flames played tonight. Not capitalizing on power plays, making sloppy ass plays and poor passing. It should have been 4-0 after the first period.

The flames weren't hitting tape with their passes, they weren't throwing quality checks, and had far too many giveaways. Hell, even iggy couldn't skate, chicago was checking him sooo close.

Well, I saw that coming. We looked bad from the start, boring game, players weren't skating, and it almost sounded like the fans were impartial until the remaining minutes. If there was no symbol on the ice you'd think they were playing in Africa and the people in the stands weren't sure what they were watching. :thumbsdow

Nah it was a good game allaround. Not the GREATEST though. Flames' intensity early on was great, and the Hawks battled back and open up the can on the Flames.
