BOO ya. and  to Husselius. That's a GREAT one for your first game on a new team. 3 Assists....and Langkow looking for the hattrick jumping on Fleury...that was kinda funny. Not nice, but hey, you jump on Kipper and you get a chode in the face. Very entertaining game. And Sid did play good for sure.

yes flames win again, way to go Husselius. man sutter is such a genious lol.
what a boring first two periods, pretty garbage hockey IMO. flames finally picked it up in the third as usual. a great game for hitting though, cant complain about that, several huge runs in the game.
i noticed crosby is frikin terrible on defence holy shit. i knew he had a shitty plus/minus but i never really watched him before. hes one way lol.

That game was hard to stomach at times. Can you believe how many chances Iginla mucked up on? This game should have been at least 8-2 for the Flames if he got all his chances in. Bravo to Langkow for getting 2 goals though. I was almost convinced that he would forever miss the net on every opportunity he gets.

However a win is a win and ever more so important when we are playing eastern teams.

Go flames go!

All in all that was a very good game by the flames. It was one of the few games that i've seen this year (win or lose) that i wasn't disappointed in sloppiness in their plays and passes etc. They fought and played really hard and they took the win.

BTW tough break on Iginla's break away. He had him beat! And that new guy Huselius is fucking money. An assist on every goal! :goflames:

You'd think Huselius, Langkow and Iginla would make a killer line but for some reason neither works that great with Iginla for some reason. Hopefully he's just in a funk, because it would be great to see that line perform at full potential. :goflames:

Holy crap yeah, probably the most intense regular season OT I've ever seen.

Now the question is, can Calgary hit the net?

khtm
12-06-2005, 08:33 PM
Well Kipper vs. Flyers ends in a 0-1 loss for Kipper.

What...did the rest of the team go out and get wasted last night or something? ;)

Hakkola
12-06-2005, 08:34 PM
Well, that's fitting, we can't score so of course we won't win. Great overtime period though. Came through with a point.

Ohh, and we hit the net with all three shootout shots, that's a good start boys :D

Good game, the better team won....And no doubt, Calgary has some huge scoring issues! They need another goal scorer bad!

Orbie
12-06-2005, 09:50 PM
Calgary only scores goals as a team, you throw in something like a shootout which emphasizes individual player skill and Calgary is toast. They just don't have enough talented scoring individuals on that team. They could, but the players that are supposed to be individually good arent practicing enough at being that. Look at the Pittsburgh game the other day, Calgary beat them as a team in regulation, but if it went to a shootout the Penguins would have embarrassed them.

eb0i
12-06-2005, 10:14 PM
Kipper was just amazing tonight and I'm glad he got first star after the game. Man did our D just let him hang out to dry! What was with leopold's drop pass to Gagne!!! It definitely was a good game, and yeah we have scoring issues (but that isn't new news). I hope we do better tomorrow, but we will be pretty tired after a game like tonights.

Ok guys, apparently Sutter is about to make a huge deal that will be finalized/announced in the next 10 days. Do any of you guys have a clue what's going on?

I know my source is a bit weak BUT a very good customer of mine told me Sutter's trying to trade for a forward from the Eastern Conference. No it's not Husselius, it's a BIG TIME player. He wouldn't disclose anything else saying it's top secret:rofl: . He also mentioned we won't be giving up much. I mentioned Leopold and he just smiled.

I don't know, just got me thinking, that's all.

Orbie
12-06-2005, 11:24 PM
I just don't understand why he loves shooting so much, if you have the room to deke you have a way better chance. At least Amonte dekes sometimes in shootouts, and surprise he actually scores.

buh_buh
12-07-2005, 12:01 AM
Leopold gave the puck away way more than Ference tonight. And Iggy won't deke because he doesn't have a deke move. Pretty much everyone knows he'll shoot on a breakaway/shootout situation.

And if you look at it, Iggy's doing better than 2 years ago this far into the season. And there's plenty of hockey left to play still, I think Iggy will earn his 7 mil this year.

Negative. That would be a very bad move by Sutter if he ever did that. Fine we lost 1-0 Big deal. You win some and you lose some.
At least we got a point outta of it. Kipper was again stole the show and Iggy needs to do more of "RAZZLE DAZZLE" when he's on a breakaway. Let's hope tomorrow the win is on the Flames side.

Yet another game where Iggy screwed up again on a breakaway. He could have had at least 4 goals in the Pittsburgh game. I don't know whether to be happy that he is getting all these scoring chances or be mad that he's screwing them all up!

Iginla has a great shot so he stick's with what he's good at. It's just that his shots this year haven't been finding the back fo the net yet, but they will (soon I hope). Iggy's never been known for his great moves, and that's why I call him "Stone Hands" Iginla.
