yeah, it happened twice already. First was like a 4 - 0 after first period.... then became 4-3 after 2nd period. Tonight...as long as they win after the 3rd period, it would be awesome.

Yeah. But since we are NOT playing LA tonight, nor are the Oilers playing them tomorrow, NOR would Kiprusoff let in 8 goals, NOR would the Edmonton defense be able to shut us down, Roloson will NOT get back to back shutouts.
Huuuuuuuge game for us tonight, I sure hope we can pull it off against the Avs and gain some sole possesion of first in the NW.
Luckily San Jose lost last night which gave us a bit of breathing room from 9th.

Because that's how we play. We don't play a blowout, rack the score type of game. The Flames play defense. There is more to hockey than scoring. Yes it's required, but defense is too. Are you aware of that part of hockey? And yeah, Kipper wins us a lot of games, but Nabokov and Toskala win more for San Jose arguably, since they don't have defense, while we do. As long as the linesmen pickup broken sticks, you're gone.

We actually average 2.6 goals, so let's say 3 goals per game, nice try though. That would be like me saying you guys let in 5 goals per game and less if you're lucky, when actually you let in 3 per game.

I wouldn't go that far dude, 2.6 goals a game is a far cry from 3, that's a difference of over 30 goals over the span of a season. BIG difference.
Kipper is a HUGE part of our team, which is good because I enjoy goaltending and great saves, but offense is what's really entertaining and at the end of the day entertainment is what hockey is about. Edmonton has the edge in that department.
As much as I love the flames I wish they would score a bit more.

Shit, they played very well today. I just hope they can keep it this consistent for the remainder of the season. I'm not expecting them to win every single game, but if they play as well as they did today, I'll be happy.

Damn that was an insane game, I actually had a bad feeling after the 2 Sakic goals 25 seconds apart. Good things the Flames took over for the rest of the game. The highlight of the entire game was Donovan's, what a beautiful goal. Overall a great game. If the Flames keep this up I wouldn't doubt them getting very far in the playoff's, if they don't who knows. BTW Vancouver lost in a shootout to Minnesota and Dallas lost to the ducks in a shootout

I'm starting to like how Phaneuf doesn't just hit people, he completely plasters them now. It wasn't quite like he did when he bastardized L.A., but it's nice to see him really taking people out with most hits he throws. Sure makes the game more fun.

The dome was more electric than it has been ALL season (maybe some EDM and VAN games were close) but there wasn't many colorado fans (away team fans makes people louder, easily) and we were just screamin....30 second standing ovation. beautiful. And trumpet guy was there, he's cool to have around.

haha WTF was that. Edmonton gets a penalty, but ref doesn't blow the whistle so the Greasers think it's on the Flames. Roloson leaves the net, Greasers score, and then it gets waived off haha :rofl: On top of that, Calgary scores a few seconds later. You knew Calgary was going to score right :D haha That was messed. :goflames: :rofl:
