Well, I can't really say I'm suprised. We knew from the regular season that we had problems putting the puck in the net, and it crippled us.

Everyone was looking for a repeat of 2004, but it just wasn't in the cards this year. They didn't come to play hockey tongiht, so they get to play golf instead. That's just the way things go. Edmonton deserved huge credit for knocking out Detroit, and I wish them the best in their playoff run.

Maybe we'll have the Battle of Alberta next year. I suspect we'll see Sutter going after some new forwards this coming year, as we've shored up our defense. It's time for Calgary to focus on offence for a while.

I wouldn't be upset if they played like they really wanted it, but they just seemed to be missing their mojo completely out there. Far too much jump and watch hockey, tripping all over the place, poor puck control, poor passing...they got outplayed by a team that wanted it more.

I would have enjoyed seeing the oilers play Calgary, but after hearing about the flames flag burning and just the all out neandrathalic behaviour towards our team...I'm glad its not the case. The red mile would have been a war zone I'm sure.

1st period they came out STRONG and came up short. Then the Ducks who seemed to be taking it relatively easier go on to score. That frustration of pouring all this pressure on and getting nothing back, then getting outplayed by the other team can knock team morale down a bit.

Very fucking sad the way flames played. We should have finished them off in game 6. No attempt to block shots whatsoever and did you see simon how he tried blocking a shot? He just took his leg out like he didn't even care and they ended up scoring the 2nd goal. I don't even think i'll be interested in watching the rest of the playoffs anymore. Well, well, well.

Needless to say I've very dissapointed in the outcome of the season. There effort tonight didnt show that they really wanted to win tonight and its really too bad, the fans wanted it, I wanted it. I really wanted it.

Yes it was a good season but why waste it with such a bullshit effort tonight? All of that hard work for 7 playoff games in which they didnt play all that well in.

This is going to sound drastic but Sutter has them playing such a defensive game that generating any offence is nearly impossible. The players we have can score. They just dont seem to go the opportunities when their told to dump it in the corner and grind it out every god damn shift. Seriously who the fuck cycles the puck along the boards and in the corner on a frickin powerplay? Unbelievable.

So with that in mind Sutter should stick to the GM position like he's said he wants to or change his coaching style. One or the other.

Anyways, fuck the Oilers, hope they loose. Hell I dont ever care who wins, as long as its not the Oilers or the Ducks.
