I'm no expert when it comes to drifting, I've never tried it, but it seemed like he was going for more of a powerslide than anything, with drifting, don't you have to just give the rear wheels enough power to loosen up, but not let them spin wildly out of control, someone let me know if I'm wrong, I'm more into autox.

Yeah drifting is the idea of going around the corner sideways... not turning and then slamming the gas...

he's not doing into the corner fast enough and he is just hitting the gas when he hits the corner. This is how alot of newbie's start. thats why he is spinning out cause he isn't countersteering as well. you can see when he crashed how he didn't counter steer enough and when he released the gas the car corrected the other way and than bam.

he wasnt ready for the back to kick around to the other side, no countersteer

i did the same thing when i first got my car, the exact thing happened in the rain, thankfully there was no tree, now i find myself countering just a little, so ill be ready should it really want to come around fast.

Yea, me too - if my horn went off like that when I was already distrought after my car being totalled, I'd go bananas!

He should've had the bumper on, it didn't look like he hit that tree very fast... :dunno:
