The brakes where down to 20% after 7 months. They argued that I was driving too aggressive. My counter point was that they advertised the car to be aggressive so if it can't handle it then it is false adverstisement.

They replaced my pads with harder pads and turned all the rotors. Trade off is that with a harder pad brake squeel is more likely.

I was going to say they replaced my brakes with brakes duh

Well, its good that they replaced it. When I drove a metro, the brakes gave out after like 4 months due to agressive driving.. really, how the fuck can a metro be agressive. I had to pay to have them replaced.

Yes insane but there are trade offs....can't have insane brakes and expect them to last as long as regular brakes. But new brakes every 18K is just not right and they agreed.

Does anybody know anything about bedding brakes to make them last longer?

How the hell did you manage that? I had to get new brakes at 20K and BMW wouldn’t even budge! Not fair! And on top of that, BMW does not surface their rotors so you have to get brand new rotors on top of the brake pads! Just for that I don’t think I will buy a BMW again, its true that maintenance and repairs are a bitch!:bullshit:

You got suckered into paying $750 for brakes and rotors? Damn...

Yup, that is the total price including parts and labor for front/rear rotors/brake pads and sensors
After consulting with some fellow BMW friends on e46fanatics, they all did the same thing too. Just for that reason alone, I may be able to afford the car, but not able to maintain it! LOL

Thats very, very pricey!! You must have some mean braking power for that price....You should have sprung for a big brake kit or something damn!
