i was wondering if any of the local suby owners are members of any wrx forums, im looking at trading in the jeep for one, and i thought id ask around a bit.

Yep, nasioc is your best bet. There are a couple of other US based ones, but they don't have many Canadians posting on them. eg. www.wrxlinks.com and www.cobbtuning.com

how do the suby owners like their wrx's?

Well the 2.6 or 3.2 A4 (don't know which one it is) i think is alot faster then any wrx....

EDIT: And Audi's trannys and AWD is way better then a WRX

Love my WRX, best car I've ever owned.
I'm not sure about the A4 beating a WRX for performance. Seems unlikely to me, but I'm not familiar with its specs.
The S4 should be quicker, but is also more expensive and should probably be pitted against the STi.

Both are great cars, you won't regret whichever you choose.

I think the audi A4 is around the 300 hp benchmark...my aunt has one, pretty quick and i love the style.

You are talking about the S4. Totally different car.

The A4 2.0T is 200hp, the A4 3.2 is 235hp.

Stock for stock, WRX is faster.. Modified it depends on the modifications.

The big difference in my mind is the Audi will always be more luxurious.. depends if you want a civic interior or a luxury interior.

In my opinion, since my A4 is heavily modded I would choose the A4..but I didnt need to post here to let you know that.. lil' bro!

Oh.. my 98 A4 is around 300hp if that counts for anything..but only untill spring!

Really.. go and test drive both. I did and I ended up with the less powerful classier A4.. but it depends on what you want. (But I switched to a more powerful classier A4 as you know!)

Note:
A stage 3 similiarly equipped to mine sold for 14.5 usd the other day, but it did need a few repairs! (If you can find a stage 3 A4 I would choose that any day over a WRX!)
