me and a few buddies want to head down to vegas in Nov. Just wondering for any of you who've been to vegas, how much should we expect the trip to cost per person? beside the flight/hotel ( which we think is ~ $800/person includ tax) what about the misc stuf flike food ( heard buffets are $20usd/person), shows (cirque de soleil?) and how much should we bring to gamble :P

thanks

I drove to Vegas, and lived in hotels and ate for less than 200 canadian, on the outskirts of the strip there are 1.99 and 2.99 all you can eat buffets, they are awesome! They want you to gamble to everything else is cheap, you can find a nice hotel too for under 50 a night if you are good ;) share the room with someone and you are on the budget train! :D

I gambled 20 dollars, won 40 dollars, and was happy.. wasn't much into gambling just all the craziness, oh, and I was there for a conference.

$15-20 per lapdance.

To full appreciate each club figure about $400.

LOL...I love how the rooms jump during SEMA. I booked two months in advance. It was $1060/person for flights and hotel at the Aladdin. Now it looks like rooms are as much as $600/night:eek:

We are leaving on Oct.30th and staying till Nov.3rd. Should be plenty of time to enjoy SEMA and the Vegas night life.:bigpimp:

I just got back from Vegas on monday and let me tell you if you are not willing to spend $500 US on a night out it's not worth it at all.

MY ADVICE:

- The most important thing you can do is buy something at the airport called the "Vegas Passport" is $120 US and worth EVERY penny. On Saturday night we went to PURE which is the biggest club in North America, we showed up at 12:30 and there was a four hour line through the casino, with our VIP cards from the passport we walked right in the front.

- NO MATTER how much you think a stripper wants to fuck you DO NOT flop for the $140 it takes for a VIP room, she will not fuck you, enough said.

- If you are tempted to call one of those "card" girls, keep in mind the $45 fee is strictly an appearance fee.

- If you plan on sitting down at a club, bring you wallet. To sit down at ANY club near the strip you need to rent a VIP booth, at Sapphires strip club it was $300 a night and you had to buy a bottle which was another $100. At PURE the booths upstairs by the dancefloor were $3000 a night.

- Gambling sucks, remember that Vegas does NOT succeed on people WINNING in these casinos, end of story. The cheapest games around are $10 blackjack, so its not even worth it for the free drinks. Play slots, tip the girl big and wait around if thats your plan.

- Buffets are great but expensive. The one at the Aladdin is $25 a head and is unbelievable, but be prepared to spend a few hours in your room digesting its not exactly the "lightest" meal.

- Stay at the Imperial Palace, it's cheap, and it's right in the middle of the strip.

- I spent $1200 US down there in 4 days, and was absolutely strapped for cash. Average drinks are $11 at a club. So hit the liquor store first.

- Shopping is probably the best way to spend your cash, they have some great shops down there.

- MAKE A BUDGET. If I could do it again I would save $160 a night for drinking/partying. $80 a day for food. $120 a day for misc shit like show etc. And another $600 to $1000 for shopping.

IT IS NOT A CHEAP CITY!! Do not think you are going to go down there with $500 and have the time of your life because it will not happen. Like I said I spent $1200 US and had $5 in my pocket on the flight home. Two of my friends spent over $3500 US in 4 days.

Take a little more money than you are comforatble with, trust me you will not regret it.

BTW if I could reccomend some clubs, DEFINATELY go to PURE, RAIN and Sapphires. DO NOT go to Coyote Ugly unless you like Cock. Tangerine and The Rumjungle are also worth checking out.

Any more questions send me a PM.

Here's my advice:

El Cortez - $35 night! and it's right by Fremont

Get a coupon book http://www.wedoitallvegas.com/

You get all-u-can-eat buffet for two for about $5-6 each!

And lastly, shell out the money for Alladin buffet, the best buffet in Vegas!

For those wanting to go to SEMA...Nov 2 - Nov 6

Hotel:

Stratosphere -> about $170.00 per person - ON REQUEST!

Flight -> About $415.00 per person

This is NOT per night rate for the hotel. It's for all 3 nights.

Get back to me if you're interested

Show's are pricey in vegas if you're hoping to catch one. Check online for stuff that's playing while you're there and price them out that way. You can even pre-buy them on the sites as well. I'm going to vegas in Dec and I just spent $300 on two front row tix to the blue man group...if I hadn't seen them before and know how good they are, there's no way I'd pay that much to see a show in vegas...really freakin expensive for alot of the stuff there.

If you want to go to shows, just go to a 2 hour timeshare seminar, and you can pick a show package for free! My friend got a free helicopter ride!

yeah I got offered these a lot, but I don't really want to spend a couple hours at some sales pitch. Also they're not on the strip I don't think, so factor in some travel costs, not exactly what I wanna do during a vacation. Maybe if you loaded up on drinks before going....
