Not only that but robot form looks retarded. Why is it they can't make a decent robot mode since gen 1?

Yea I have the Red RX8 and the Silver Imprezza. I got them in Japan so they are diecast instead of that weak plastic.

The "weak" plastic makes 'em easier to transform without busting parts off, a lot of the time.

Anyway: The line of Transformers that Dodge Ram Optimus is in, usually sells in town for between $30-40 (when the stores are carrying it. They haven't for some time). One of the key points of the line is that everything is in 1/24 scale, or as close as they can get to it. A semi-trailer prime in that scale would be enormous, and expensive. (Incidentally, a Prime close to this scale was released last year, for Transformers' 20th Anniversary. It was $100 in Calgary, without the trailer.) They want regular people to buy these, too, not just rich people and fanboys.

So, word is on this Prime that Hasbro wanted to release at least one truck in the Alternators line, because Americans like trucks. But Takara, their partner company in Japan, would only let them do it if the truck was Prime, the most popular character on either side of the Pacific; otherwise it wouldn't sell in Japan, except to a hardcore few.

Yeah... I'm a geek.
