I have owned infinity refrence 5.25 comps. MB Quart Premium 1"/4.5"/6.5" 3way comps and now have alpine type-x comps. My favorite BY FAR is the type-x's. They sound sooooooo nice.

My suggestion is go listen to as many different ones you can find. Go to a audio shop and ask the guy to let you hear it all. Also make sure they are played off the same deck with all sound enhancments off. Oh and bring your own cd, something you are familiar with.

in tan/sand colour, black is everywares but I want tan... for near a similar price, other wise I'll get a buddy to buy it in the states and mail it to me..

If you gonna power them buy the deck which will proably suck, but I would go with any ones you can find for around 30 bucks offline. porbaly pioneer b\dont get anything expensive because they will not be powered enough and will blow.

all head units say 50x4, most likely the speaker will see around 15 watts from HU power

basically I powered some infinity of a deck and blew them all cuz of lack of power.

Budget?

And you really need an external amp to get real sound out of your speakers.

Check this package deal out:

If you want to amplify the speakers, the best possible speakers are made by CDT audio. They offer several models, the middle of the line ones able to handle 180 watts RMS and were rated "best sounding speaker ever and the new benchmark" by several magazines a while ago. I would suggest the CDT HD series...I have a pair of CDT HD 62 components and they destry anything ive ever heard before including Focal, in my opinion and many others.

You could always check out the MTX Speakers. The sound great for the price.
