Well...as some may or may not know, I bought a new car. Although it is no AMG Mercedes, BMW M3, Honda S2000, I really love it.
The Color, I love.
The Interior, I Love (Full Recaro)
The Engine, I Love (Engine Swap, 2.0L 16V Chipped and Cams)
Its pretty quick, looking forward to many a beyond cruise.
Yes, it is getting lowered, so no need to mention that ;).
The Verdict, like it or not, I'm a happy happy camper.

oh yea, my 8v didn't even stand a chance against that car, i couldn't even keep up to try and follow it when mike got it.

Where did you find it? It looks really good. Is it a pre 90s model (no big bumpers).
I think single rounds up front would look good on it.

Neato. Can you tell me the diff the chip and cams made? I know they obviously made some, but im thinkin for the engine in my Jetta GTX id do the same, if its worth it. (probably is)

What a great car. My brother had a 16V GTI at one time, and it was one of the best cars I have ever driven.. just unbelievable handling, and a gutsy, easy to live with engine.
Great buy.
Specs: - estimate - hp = 150 to 165 (you never know until you Dyno)
but remember its hooked up with a relatively close ratio transmission

I'm throwing it on the Dyno at the dyno day, but yeah, it moves pretty good ;)
hjr is probably pretty close. It should be somewhere in there.
It doesn't weigh much either, 23-2400lbs tops.
In any case, its a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to it.
Thats how i felt when i first got my GTX. Gasin it everywhere. Giant grin. Redlining all the time. and mine was stock! so i can imagine you must be in heaven.

It goes pretty good, It should be nice at the track, its got lots or torque, but has a good top end as well. Revs to 7200
