Hey all. I've been sort of sniffing around the 'net and the other forums I play on about whether or not Amsoil is any good and until getting to this forum, I've heard nothing but good stuff about it. What's wrong with it?

Thanks!

Greg

Nothing wrong with the stuff, probably the top 3 brands of Oil after Redline and Motul.

Amsoil and Redline have the strongest concentration of anti-wear agents and more zinc content which is good to prevent wear but not necessarily good for cat converters. This is why Mobil has reduced their zince even further to fit the new SJ certification. Amsoil and Redline aren't SJ certified and if a car company want to deny warrantee, they can use this excuse.

Every time I ask on a forum about this stuff I get fairly positive feedback and I'm slowly moving closer and closer to biting the bullet and giving this stuff a try. Since I'm off warranty now I'm not too worried about Honda denying my warranty.

Good response, Thanks!
