I'm giving my gaming rig to my little brother so his system is going up here.
AMD Athlon XP 2600+ 512K Barton Socket A
ASUS A7V8X-X Motherboard Socket A
ASUS Geforce 4 MX 4000 AGP8X 128MB 64bit DDR VGA DVI TV-OUT
LiteOn 52x32x52 CD-RW
2 x 80mm Case Fans
1 x 80mm Multicolor Led Side Panel Fan
IBM DeskStar 40GB HDD 7200rpm
256MB Ram
Scorpio Gaming Case???
$500 OBO
The case itself is a pretty decent gaming case. It's basically identical to the one at this link: http://www.memoryexpress.com/index.php?PageTag=&page=file&memx_menu=EmbedProductDetail.php&DisplayProductID=3688&SID=29443
The only thing different is the design of the side panel. The one we have is more of an X as opposed to the swirly on the memexpress page.
None of the components in this system have been overclocked. My brother doesn't know how and he's never complained about the games he's played. He's into CS Source, and Guildwars. Other than that tho he uses the system more for school work and watching Anime.
The only cons to the system that I have is that it's loud... I told my brother to watch how cool his system ran while he played games and to put in additional fans if it seemed hot... I guess he took it a bit literally and put a few too many fans in. The system has no cooling issues at all even at full load. I would recommend a fan controller or replacing a fan or two with a quieter one(s).
The only other thing is that the tab for the USB slots up front is broken. It's not visible at all, just that there's no resistance when you open the USB cover... Stays shut on it's own tho, so it's hardly worth mentioning.
Just as a sidenote I have a 2500XP Barton in my current gaming rig overclocked to 2200Mhz which is basically 3200+ XP spec. The Bartons are awesome for overclocking if you're into that kind of thing. I'm sure the 2600+ in this system would hit it as well even on stock cooling.
I'll post pictures up as soon as I get my stupid FTP program to work...
