I bought a wireless router the other day (Gigafast) and it didnt come with any programs or anything. How do I make a password for it or disable wireless altogether as I just use the wires.

i believe the default ip for config is 192.168.8.1 in your web browser. I also believe that you can find almost any manual for a product on the internet these days.

hope that helps.

start --> run --> cmd <enter>
ipconfig /all

Check your gateway ip
open it in your webbrowser.
Might need a login/pass

probably going to be
l admin p <blank>
or
l <blank> p admin

Just bought a Gigafast wireless router last week, it should have come with a small manual. The ip to connect to the login is 192.168.1.254.

You will need to change your ip address to a static address on your pc to be able to connect. Try 192.168.1.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0.

There is no default password to login, but change it once you do login. The option to disable the router is in the config menu somewhere. I can email you a pdf manual if its a Gigafast WF719 wireless router.:)
