I have an IPod Nano and a Pioneer DEH-P5200 deck

I'm not sure if the deck has an AUX input (CD changer) or not. So, can anyone tell me if this deck has that and if so, could I use this

As well, I've seen the cables that have a headphone tip (3.5mm I think) and the Pioneer AUX input on the other. Similar to this but has the 3.5 mm tip.

Basically, the FM transmitter stuff blows. I've got the $100 monster adapter and it's worse than the $40 one I tried.

That site sucks man. It's $180US for the kit, that's more than most Ipod ready decks are worth.

I believe the iPod ready means you can control the iPod through the deck. From what I've heard, this is a pain so I'd rather control the iPod using the iPod.

I have a deh-p750mp... it's not ipod ready, I am unsure about yours...what I had to do was get an ip-bus adapter... the cd-rb10... this gives you auxiliary inputs... then you need an output cable from the ipod... either one of those mini headphone cables or one that connects to the dock output... I used the dock output and got a cable from F.S., the logic3 one... all in all it was half the price of the pioneer ipod adapter.. but it's up to you....

The pioneer Aux input, and/or the Ipod adaptor both work throught pioneers P changer plug. This means that any pioneer deck for the last 5-8 yrs that has a P in the model number will work with either adaptor. deh P -750, deh P - 5200, and so on.

Hope this helps.

I have the cd-rb10 for sale if you are interested, it will work with any pioneer deck that has P in the model number. It will give you are pair of RCA Inputs

Thanks to everyone for all the help and advice. I ended up getting the adapter that I had asked about earlier off of e-bay. I've installed it but there is a small "problem". It appears that the balance is "off" when using the AUX function. I have to adjust the L/R balance to about L5 to even out the sound. The right speakers are putting out more sound than the left but only on the AUX, not the CD or tuner.

Any ideas as to what's going on?
