Is it a 300C or 300M? People mix those up all the time.

rental will always be the base auto model. Get the 300, it looks and drives good.

Not always the case. I get the top of the line model about 50% of the time.

From which rental agency...cuz all the ones i've checked only do base models. I got a 300 in vancouver over the summer and it was non Hemi, non-navi, just the base 300M. gettin the top of the line models would be way better...who do u deal with, and what kind of cars?

Hertz at YVR. I used to go there often enough that they knew me by name. I would simply ask if they had any free upgrades available. About 50% of the time I would end up in a Volvo XC70 or a fully loaded SUV.

Thrifty carries 300C's but it is highly dependent on the location/market of the rental agency. I've seen them on lots though on business trips.

Also Hertz has a collection of cars that are strictly luxury models, here is the list of cars they offer from there:

300C's are everywhere... Thrifty, Hertz, National, I think Budget too. I don't mind the 300c, it's got quite a kick, but all the electronic gizmos like the ESC which turns on when you try and kick the backend out in a corner ending all fun, the traction control that comes on if you do too long a burnout ending all the fun, and of course the rev and speed limiter. Touch the revlimiter and it puts the car in diagnostic mode ending the fun and gets you in trouble with the rental company, speed cuts out at 202kph, ah 202 is pretty quick as ut is. Too much limits IMO. The Magnum is kina neat, same systems, but trying to see anything through the rear glass is impossible. We don't carry the mazda 6 so I dunno about them.. look nice tho! I would rather rent the Lincoln LS V8 no such limiters, fun! and I still havn't got enough nerve to find the top speed, or its limits in the corners (smooth and firm!). Cant do good burnouts though, as it is a very high reving engine. And the battery is already located in the trunk!
