What do these things run in the 1320? Anyone raced one here in calgary at race city?

Curious as to how fast they are.

at race city i've never seen a type-s run under 15.6...... with a good driver i'm sure it can hit low 15's no problem.

You think calgary type s drivers are THAT bad that a good driver could gain .6 sec?... A stock type s will not beat a stock 5.0. Not many 5.0 guys hit 15.0 on street tires. Most around 15.2-15.4 in calgary.

they should be low 15's
because when we were doing roadcourse last summer, a RSX would slightly pull on me in the straights. So its definately faster. And I pulled a 15.4 last year.

What are they rated at for hp/tq and has anyone weighed one? I dont want the weight off the door tag.
Those of you who have raced them, do you know the owners and mods done to the cars?

How many gears did you go through with him? I've found that that car doesnt start to pull until top of third, they are very strong from 85-120mph

I thought they were slow at first, but guess they have no low end. Last summer I kept up with redline's Type-S pretty good, but we only got up to about 120km/h.

well if you say your car does 15.0 in the QM, and type s' are supposed to do 15.4 ish, that seems about right.

Type S bone stock are around 15.1-15.3 depending on driver, if your slower then that you need driving lessons.. there should be some decent RSX-S' this year at Race City in the 14's no doubt.

A stock SRV should lose somewhat bad

Why would it lose somewhat pretty bad? Don't they have the same hp and torque numbers??

a SRV is heavier.

But with a good driver, I think SRV's COULD run in the 14's since there are 5th gen owners who have ran 15.1 and 15.2 stock. And 4th gens have better gearing than 5th gens and are also lighter than 5th gens. But I haven't seen anyone really come close except shadowz.

You better be joking... but to add if it is or not, my powerband ENDS at 5000 rpm , so I switch gears pretty damn fast when I am racing

maybe that's why. But I don't get out of 4th gear on the road course, and I hit about 180-185 at the end of the front straight.

Your probe must have really short gear ratios, my MR2 is probably very similar to Buh_buh's lude, top of third for me is about 160-165km/h while my ae86's top of third is like 120 km/hr..much shorter gear ratios and less power...a buddy of mine has an omni in the high 13's and he goes through all 5 gears in the 1/4 mile..it all depends on the ratios
