specifically, im looking for someone who might just overlook a crack in the windshield.

post anyone who you know to be reasonable priced, and willing to do it.

if the crack isnt in your vision, I still think it would pass.

:werd:

I have had 3 cars pass safeties with cracked windsheilds. One out-of-province and 2 insurance safeties.

Two at Britannia Esso (on Elbow Dr) and one at Autoguard (across from the 39th Ave impound lot).

whoever gave you an OOP with a cracked windshield is begging to have thier license pulled.

Just do what i do, use an insurance company that only requires inspections for vehicles 25 years+ (or oop/salvage the usual) (TD insurance)

TD Insurance now requires an inspection for cars 10 years and older.

I dont have a degree so I am with TD Primmum, but I havent found it to be unreasonable (my 06 Accord is $94/month).

I cant imagine that MM would be much cheaper. My wife will have her degrees completed in April so maybe we will get a quote from them and see.

$94/month is unreasonable on an 06 accord?

*EDIT* never mind. I need to learn how to read. Thanks Ben.

They do have the 10 year policy, but I've never seen it enforced, they ignored my 2 previous vehicles, but they were safe anyways. (helps having a father working for the company of car you own = good servicing)

TD is fantastic, best large scale insurer out there IMO

Im with monex and they are requiring an inspection on my 89 240, depends on the agent you talk ot i guess.

Good luck with the inspection, I need to find somewhere aswell, doesnt need to be as overlooking though.

I just got an insurance quote from TD Insurance and it's one of the cheapest I've seen so far. Definitly switching over to them if my current insurance company doesn't match their price.

On the other hand, why dont you try JD Auto. They charge only 65 for a full inspection, the last time I checked but they might overlook the windshield situation.

Well then tell them that, i just added a 1988 prelude to my insurance 2-3 days ago and it did not require any sort of documentation... just a quick phone conversation. Perhaps it is because mine is through libery mutual (whom they recently aquired)

I believe they only fail windshields that have a complete horizontal crack, from one side to the other.
