Anyone out there following the stock market, actively trading or day trading?

Just out of curiosity...

I work in the industry and follow the market closely but stay away from active trading. As far as i'm conerned active trading isn't worth the risk - there are better ways to accumulate wealth. Unless, you have a significant amount of money to invest and follow the market very closely just buy good companies and hold them.

^^^

There are safer ways to accumulate wealth but that isn't exciting man. As my buddy said, buying mutual funds is like watching grass grow.

It's in our nature to hit it big right away and if we lose, it's ok, we be back at it right away.

If you had any Google shares, you be laughing now :D

Haha, :werd:

Buying mutual funds is like watching your grass die! And charged 3% just to watch.

Although there are some good funds, and they do allow you to play markets that you wouldn't normaly be able to. Ie, if you want to gamble on Japanese growth a fund might be the best way to do that.
