View Full Version : What is the general monthly rate for Winter car storage?

Looking for an average rate most people would/are paying for winter car storage.. (Heated/video secured underground?)

Reason I am asking is that my roomate no longer has a car, and I would have a spot to rent out.. the renter would NOT be given full in and out privelages.. and it would not be a work space. The underground is under video surveillance and only accesible through garage opener or door code. (Which you would NOT get)

I agree that $100 is a reasonable rate for a heated garage. I have called around 3-4 places offering heated parking and it has been consistent at $100 (plus tax).

OK thanks guys.. do these storage facilities have an open in and out policy?
(Would it be reasonable to accept less cash and not offer that? Or by appointment only?)

Anyone interested? Winter is just around the corner!

I will be sitting at 30 a month, heated, underground, video survielance (i think), security gaurds, can get in and out as long as there is someone to open the door (security gaurd or remotely opened from central office downtown)

I paid $100/month one year when I didn't have a garage for unheated, but I could come and go as I pleased. I rented out my garage one year to a guy and charged him $65/month with no garage use or in and outs.

any security issues? like vandalism or theft, storing your car away for the winter?

has anyone had something liek that happen to them? i dont wanna come back and see my baby with half the stuff jacked..

Well my car is parked right beside it... and I will be driving my car at least twice a week. It is underground in my condo with video on both doors. I would never guarantee that something wont happen.. but I havent had any problems as of yet.
(There are some decent cars in there.. 350z, Audi A4 etc)
If I was worreid about it I wouldnt park my car there
