Wheels look like they're missing pieces. haha. It's a hot car though - I saw a brand new red one parked in the elevator lobby of the Banker's Hall West Tower this afternoon. They're only rated 355HP.

For $149,000 I would rather get a Viper or Z06 and put the rest of the money in my pocket.

I knew it would be this car!

2005 Porsche 997 Carrera S Cab
Black/Black w/Black roof
6-speed
Currently about 5,600km
very nicely equipped with full leather, bose, sport crono, multi-function wheel. But for the $147 list, you'd at least expect power fore/aft seats!

The plate was a complete coincidence as odd as that sounds! What are the chances?

Yeah .. It cost more then double as a Vette .. but .. is it twice the car? hard to say .. I guess for people who can afford it .. $80K .. $160k ... no big deal ..

Or on the other hand, for same kind pf price, people can buy a Vette or Boxster .. if they don't care that 1 second diff in 1/4 mile ..

even within Porsche .. From $85K Boxster S to $150K CS Cab .. the straight line performance is only 0.7 second .. ( 5.2 vs 4.4 )

But .. a 911 is a 911 is a 911 ..

:D

Exactly.

A Vette is not a Porsche.

Going strictly on numbers sure, some cars you cant justify the price, all exotics are big bucks to get into, but numbers arn't everything for some people (most people).

You think buddy in his Brand New 911 TT cares that someone in a heavily modified Civic or Skyline can beat him down the quarter. No, not at all, because he's the one with the stuttgart badge on the hood.

You've gotta look at the whole package, otherwise we'd all be driving turbo k cars if looks, status and style wern't important, and $ per hp, cheap speed was priority.

You're buying status, you're buying luxury, you're buying performance, you're buying into a legacy.

Sure there's lesser priced cars on the road that are faster, and seem to be a better bang for your buck, but bang for your buck is a realative term when you look at what you feel is the car for you.

Werd Ben!

Absolute Bling Factor. That car is so fucking pimp it's sick!

Hell if I was that rich, I'd buy both cars so when someone brings up that Corvette comment I would say, yah that's my winter beater bitch! haha

Thank you for that!!! You're so correct...

Anyways, this looks like the one on 17th in Calgary. Were you in Calgary when you took this one or am I just seeing things?
