I just recently got this phone and I've already purchased a cable adapter for it.. There was this 512 Memory stick pro duo card on sale at Futureshop for 64.99 (save 40$) so i purchased it. I went home to try it out but my phone can't even read the damn card.. Does anyone know the actual card type for this phone? This phone came with a basic 32mb memory stick duo.

SE S710a only supports Memory Stick Duos.
The Memory Stick Pro Duo card you got will not work. I suggest returning it.

Memory Stick Duos only go up to 128mb, so in a sense that is the limit.

Well, I assume you don't stay constantly updated with things like this but the whole S710a Memory Stick topic has been beaten to death over at HoFo, plus when I had mine I did some research beforehand. But no worries, it's not exactly a great mp3 phone IMO, just annoying how SE decided to cap it's memory expansion at such a weak level.

I'm not sure where to get them really, try eBay or ncix.com or something, they probably go for pretty cheap. Last time I checked eBay they were about $20USD I think.

I'm not entirely sure, but philipoo, if you want I'll buy your 512 Pro Duo off you for my W800i :D

Yea, I hate Sony for this reason only. If you buy every single memory stick they have and try to make it with a phone/camera only half will work.

They should all be compatible!!
