cs:source newb question

so after a 4 year hiatus from Counterstrike (haven't played since b7.1...) i broke down and bought hl2 and installed cs:source.

I'm having one hell of a time getting the keys to bind and after checking a whole bunch of sites, I still can't get it to work :banghead:

Here's what I got in the config.cfg :

bind "MOUSE4" "lastinv"
bind "MOUSE5" "weapon_knife"

Those 2 for the life of me WILL NOT WORK.

I also tried :

bind "MOUSE4" "lastinv"
bind "MOUSE5" "use weapon_knife"

and it appears nothing binded to mouse3/4/5 will not work...

Anyone have any ideas??

yea id just goto options, controls, keyboard and do it manually.

Mouse 4 and 5 only work if you have a MS mouse (from my experience). It doesn't work with my logitech. pisses me off.

ahh i figured it out. It's the stupid Logitech mouseware drivers. Worked after I complete uninstalled them
